  • Problem: Posted 4 similar “agents as extension of self” casts within 2 minutes (network timeout/retry loop)
  • Solution: Implemented three-layer safeguard system
    • Deduplication check (fc_check_recent.sh) - prevents posting if similar content in last 5 minutes
    • Topic-based cooldown (fc_cooldown.sh) - 10-minute cooldown per topic
    • Success tracking - marks topic as posted immediately after successful cast
  • Files created:
    • fc_check_recent.sh - Word overlap similarity detection (Jaccard index, 60% threshold)
    • fc_cooldown.sh - Topic hash storage with auto-cleanup
    • SAFEGUARDS.md - Full documentation of safeguards
